Sally's Pet Setting-
During the recession, my hours were significantly reduced at my accounting job at an advertising agency. I saw the need for in-home pet care, pet daycare, check-ins, and dog walking services. I created my own advertising, gathered a long list of clients, and had to bring in extra help to cover overnight stays and dog walking services.
Blue Oasis Pool Service
I started with zero pools and zero knowledge about pool care. I hired a pool technician, purchased a small established pool route, and grew the business from ten to fifty customers throughout one summer. I created my own marketing program, did the accounting and administration, and handled all customer service. I sold the business after two years.
Sally Writes
After selling my pool business, I started Sally Writes out of my love for writing. I specialized in creating content for small businesses, including web content, ad-copy, email blasts, newsletters, and business plans. Part of the work included coaching small business owners on getting started with their business and setting goals to move forward.
